The Tragically Hip's final concert will be live streamed at the William Glesby Centre tomorrow evening with doors opening at 7.

This is Glesby Centre executive director Carolyn Gray's first event and she says the tickets are going fast.

"They are going like hotcakes. I think we're at about 300 now, our facility holds just north of 400. People of all kinds are coming, all ages, and they are pumped about seeing this. So I'm feeling like we're going to sell out."

Gray notes the positive response to the event is exciting and explains what she hopes this event will achieve.

"I'm really hoping that [those who attend this event] will also keep coming back to the Glesby, because we really need to sell our tickets, our season tickets, and sell those concerts. So I hope, for some people who have never been to the Glesby, I hope it's the start of a beautiful relationship."

Gray explains the Glesby Centre doesn't receive any financial gain from this event, they are in fact paying out to do it, but it's still something they want to do.

"It's something we want to do for the community, we all love the Hip, they're Canada's band. We want to bond together as a community for this really special event. So I think it would just be a really beautiful gift to the community."

Tickets are free and are available for pickup at the box office until the opening of the show.
