The Home and Away Draw is just a few days away, but some who have purchased tickets for the Portage Rotary Club and Portage Plains United Way fundraiser may not be entered. Tickets for the fundraiser were recently misplaced, and United Way Executive Director Mandy Dubois says some of those tickets have made their way into the community.

"Anybody who holds ticket numbers between 361 and 390 need to contact the Portage Plains United Way office immediately, or if anyone has purchased a ticket from a gentleman or person in front of the liquor store over the past couple of weeks, they also need to contact the office."

Dubois notes the Home and Away Draw takes place Friday at noon, so they need to hear from those ticket holders as soon as possible. She says if the office isn't contacted, they may not have a chance at winning.

"Potentially there's the risk these tickets will not be included in the draw on Friday. If I'm not in contact with these people prior to the draw, there is that risk. We don't want that to happen because everyone who purchased a ticket should have the same chance to win. That's why it's important that we get in contact with these people."

The local United Way office is open from 9 am to 4 pm and can be reached by calling (204) 857-4440.
