The Ashern Arena's much-needed upgrades got a shot in the arm last night.

The CFRY Radio Amateur Talent Show raised $21, 736 toward upgrading LED lighting, and the ice plant.

Contestants Shanley Sigfusson and and Beth Schwartz were double winners, receiving $100.00 from the judges for talent, and another $100.00 for bringing in the most pledges, at $1355.50.

Stan Eirickson brought in $1156.50, while Zoe, Lily, and Company had $815.00.

Loa Thorkelson was second in the talent competition, with Heather Goertzen-Loewen third.

Cheques for $100.00, $75.00, and $50.00 were handed out in both categories.

Pledgees can be sent to Box 576, Ashern, MB, R0C 0E0. They can also be dropped off at the Ashern Credit Union.

If you want a receipt, make the cheque out to the RM of West Interlake.

Pledges need to be in by March 17th.

The final CFRY Radio Amateur Talent Show of the season is next Saturday in Amaranth.
