***UPDATED**

We've been hearing about a significant snowstorm coming toward Manitoba since Saturday evening, and it's still on the way, but we know more about it.

Here's Environment Canada's Justin Share.

"Most of the precipitation's going to be falling further west, into Westman and even parts of eastern Saskatchewan, and then, especially, toward northern Manitoba, as it keeps tracking," he says, "So Portage la Prairie, and then even further east in the Red River Valley, it's kind of a mixed bag of precip."

It's reported the biggest impact will be in the west and north, with between 5 and 50 cm of snow. Larger accumulations are expected in the north.

Southwest Manitoba should see between 5 and 10 cm, while in the Parklands region, 20 cm is possible.

For the Portage la Prairie area, Environment Canada's calling for 5 to10 mm of rain today, changing to about 5 cm of snow this evening. There'll be high winds as well, which will reduce visibility.

Share expects the system should be gone by Wednesday.
