Every severe weather scenario is different, and that's what local storm chaser Francis Lavigne-Theriault finds thrilling. The third year U of M student from Lorette is also the founder/manager for NZP Chasers and tracks systems as far south as the Gulf of Mexico, and he says social media has become a helpful tool in reporting severe weather. Each year Lavigne-Theriault issues a 'severe weather resumé'. He says so far in 2016 the U.S. northern plains have been pretty quiet in terms of tornado action, while the Canadian prairies have really become active in the last few weeks. Lavigne-Theriault spoke about his work at A Rocha Canada's Pembina Valley Interpretive Centre last week.
