Splash Island is becoming even more popular because of the heat we've experienced. PRRA General Manager David Sattler says this year, they've seen relatively similar numbers between 2017 and this year.

"I think if we recall back, it was quite warm last July as well," says Sattler. "So we're seeing almost exactly the same number of people, maybe even a few more this year."

Sattler says they've seen upwards of 450 people on weekends, noting there have been some days where waiting lists were required. He says they're glad to have some new amentities at the facility.

"People are loving it," says Sattler. " I think we get complements all the time, we hear from a lot of parents of younger kids that get to use the new duck slide that maybe there wasn't something there for them before, or that space was maybe a little more intimidating with the water splashing down, it may have been too much for a young child. They're really enjoying the duck slide and the other new water features that we have."
