Renovations are currently underway at the Southport Aerospace office following an accident involving a vehicle that crashed into the foyer. Director of Operations Wade Linden gives an update on the project.

Wade Linden "We are in the process of reconstructing the front foyer. And there'll be some steel work that's done in that process. Then they'll put it all back together in the next two to four weeks. Then they'll finish off the inside beyond that."

Linden says they're going work in the back of the office, having lost about one quarter their workspace for the time being.

"We are working in a little bit cramped quarters, and we have an orange wall separating us from the construction site. We don't have an understanding of  how much it will cost at this point. Some of that's still up for pricing, but we have insurance to cover all costs."

He adds they made the decision to live with the cramped space.

"And that was our own wish, really. We have all our infrastructure in this building as far as our communications and our servers, and so on. It would have been very problematic to move our organization to a different building for a temporary period of time."
