After Southport Aerospace's recent economic impact study was published, the RM of Portage la Prairie remarked about its relationship with the community at this week's council meeting. Reeve Kam Blight weighs in.

"They've done a recent economic impact study that really puts some numbers to what their value is," says Blight. "It's quite incredible. We're so very pleased and proud to have them as part of our municipality and over how they're always trying to make things look better."

Blight's thrilled Southport's always seeking ways to improve itself and says the leadership works well with others. He adds the RM's very privileged to have them as part of the region and it's easy to have this kind of relationship with such great leaders, including Peggy May and Deanna Mitchell.
