The RM of Grahamdale has completed three quarters of their civic addressing process and Reeve Clifford Halaburda says it's great to be so close to completion.

Halaburda notes the process has been slow and costly due to the size of the municipality, adding new signs still have to be made and installed among other changes. However, he hopes everything will be completed this year.

"People are really looking into this civic addressing because what's happening in the whole system is our ambulance, our policing, our fire department is all going into the new system and if we haven't got civic addressing the new system is not going to work for us."

Halaburda adds it was difficult to get in and do what needed to be done in emergency situations with the old system, but says fire protection, ambulance services and policing will be a lot easier once the new system is in place.
