The Portage District General Hospital Foundation's 30th anniversary is September 10th.

The foundation launched their new website to celebrate the occasion, executive director Erin Miller explains some of its features.

"The launch of our new website is really a tool to be able to provide people with all sorts of information at their leisure, when they would like. You can also donate online which is really nice feature for people that would rather do that as an option. But really it is one spot that provides all sorts of information of what kinds of things we do, why we're important."

In addition to the website the hospital foundation is also part of other forms of social media including Facebook (PDGH Foundation), Instagram (@pdghfoundation) and Twitter (@pdghfoundation). They also have the hashtag #pdghfoundationcares. The foundation has unveilled a new logo as well.

The foundation will also be holding events throughout the year to celebrate their anniversary, Miller describes the first event.

"On Friday September 9th we are having a day of charity at What's the Scoop from 11 in the morning to 10 at night. We have kids tattoos, we have celebrity servers, we have giveaways, we have a photo booth. So we really encourage everyone to come down and help celebrate our kick-off to our anniversary celebration."

Miller notes the community's support has played a big role for the foundation over the last 30 years.

"Thirty years of any organization means that the community really supports you. We keep on growing, we keep on doing great work that really impacts frontline patient care and programs, that we are so proud of. The community gets together to make this happen."

Miller adds she's looking forward to what the next 30 years will bring.
