The Portage and District Arts Centre's Garden Tour is coming up.

The PDAC is still looking for a few gardens to round out the tour, and Marketing and Events Coordinator Lee Beaton explains what they're looking for.

"We're trying to showcase anywhere from 5 to 8 gardens, and 1 or 2 of them could be rural. We're just sourcing them out right now, and contacting people. There's going to be some fantastic gardens, all different ones. We try not to use the same gardens again, so we're definitely looking for something new and unique. Whether it be a very interesting quiet yard, it could be a large yard, a small yard, it doesn't matter."

Beaton says they have a few gardens already signed up, including one special garden.

"They call themselves the best garden that nobody knows about. It's a really fantastic garden, and I'm really looking forward to showcasing that. We are also looking for a couple of extra gardens as well, so if you know of somebody that has a beautiful yard and garden that they want to showcase, just give us a call at the Arts Centre."

She adds it's been a busy couple of days looking at gardens, and she's excited for upcoming event.
