The Portage La Prairie Community Revitalization Corporation's Dirt Dash takes place tomorrow at Republic Park.

PCRC community facilitator Victoria Olsen says they are more than ready for the event. She says there's nothing else quite like this event in Portage.

"There are fundraising walks and different things like that but nothing where you get totally filthy, dirty. Where you're doing obstacles. It's just kind of like you're a kid again."

Olsen explains some of the things participants can expect.

"There's about twenty different obstacles that people will be put through, some more challenging than others, but there's always going to be options if you feel like you can't do it or not sure then there'll be staff at obstacles to help you through it. There's going to be an after party, there are going to be giveaways. It's just going to be a really fun day."

Olsen adds one of the obstacles is a giant slip-n-slide, nicknamed the PCRC slip-n-slide, which will slide you to the finish.

If you haven't yet signed up to participate in the race you still have the chance to do so as same day registration is being offered. It's 85 dollars to participate or you can come out as a spectator for 10.
