The Municipality of Norfolk-Treherne looks to begin their 2022 on the right foot with their first council meeting of the year taking place on January 11 at 9 a.m.

Water and wastewater reports will be discussed for both Rathwell and Treherne. One other major talking point would be a letter from Xplornet that discusses what they need to do in order to get a start on an infrastructure build.

They also plan to discuss the public health orders stating that all youth aged 12-17 that attend indoor recreational/sporting facilities have to show proof of at least one dose of mRNA vaccine, or a negative test taken in the last 72 hours.

Later on this month, they will also hold their committee of the whole meeting, where they'll discuss Tiger Hills Pipelines Inc. proposing additional pipelines to increase water capacity for irrigators and domestic water users. The committee of the whole meeting will be held January 25 at 9 a.m.

The meetings will take place at the Municipal building at 215 Broadway Street in Treherne.
