It's Portage MCC Thrift Shop's fourth ever annual Community Charity Day.

Portage MCC Thrift Shop manager Kevin Hamm says, "We're having our fourth ever fourth annual Community Charity Day. And it's a day we set aside to work with a number of local charities to raise awareness and also to raise money for them. This year the three charities that we're working with are Sunset Palliative Care, Central Plains Cancer Care and the Portage Chapter of the Canadian Mental Health Association."

Sunset Palliative Care volunteer Ethel-Mae Greenslade shares what it's like working with MCC today.

"It's wonderful. It's the first time I helped out here at MCC. But Sunset Palliative Care is an amazing group, and we help out a lot of people in the community. It means a lot for me to help and volunteer in any way I can. Sunset Palliative Care is a wonderful organization and a great service to community. We'd like to have more and more volunteers and people know about us."
