It's Family Fun Day in MacGregor tomorrow. President of the Centennial Park 150 Revitalization Committee Sadie Rushton says it's their second one ever.

"Family Fun Day is going to be held at MacGregor Centennial Park, located just behind the Normac Centre Arena. This is our second Family Fun Day, We held one last year as well when we were just starting up the fundraising. Lots of changes. We've just recently added a new disk swing last week, and a climbing boulder. We've also added a hill to climb on with tunnels going through."

She notes they received a lot of excellent feedback after spreading the word of plans starting last year.

"The old playground equipment was very damaged. It had been there for many years and needed to be replaced. So, people are every excited to hear that we were going to be fixing that up. We also cleaned up a lot of the dead bush, branches, trees, and redid the walking trails in the park as well. All last year."

She says preparations last year coincided with fundraisers for the purpose of fixing up the park this year, however, they 're showcasing the changes and letting people see what changes they made this time around. Rushton adds many families have informed her they'll be out for the Fun Day and can't wait to see the new equipment. She notes the Fire Fighting Training Camp is much anticipated. The MacGregor Fire Department's going to bring their truck, set up obstacle courses, have their hoses, firefighters suit, and kids can come out and learn what it's like to be firefighter.

The free event starts tomorrow at Noon and runs until 4:00 p.m, and your donations at their barbecue lunch would be much appreciated.
