People didn't let a little wind and rain stop them from enjoying the MacGregor Annual Fair.

The event put on by the Heartland Recreation Commission ran all throughout the day with a pancake breakfast in the morning, and fireworks to close things out.

"I am impressed with everyone who came through, the rain did stop in the afternoon, but it was great all day," says Director Karla Gurke. "This year with Canada's 150 we wanted to make sure we had something here for every group. We had Archery Games Winnipeg come out and set up a paintball style match in the tennis courts but with bows and arrows. That was the only thing that wasn't free, but we've had so much including bouncy castles, face painting, a virtual tour for Canada's 150, horse riding, and a petting zoo just to name a few."

Pete Harder stopped by to take in the event and was glad to see so many people turn out.

"I always like to come and see the cattle, the horses, the 4H club, that's always a great time," says Harder.

A big fish fry was offered in the evening, and a social and fireworks ended the festivities. See more pictures from the event below.
