Recipients of the Odd Job Squad's Muffin Madness Sale were pleased with their service on Friday.

Youth Engagement Leader Keelin Horning says she heard a lot of great feedback from Portage la Prairie businesses, and stresses the importance of networking for the youth workers.

"I think it was huge for them to get out in the community and meet community members. They're not used to going to businesses and making their sales pitch, and getting used to that kind of stuff so it was great."

She says for a first crack at the sale, 28 is a pretty good number. She explains where the profits from the sale go.

"What happens is we collect the money for it, then a portion of the funds go toward paying for the muffins, then the kids get the rest."

Horning says they couldn't have done this without the support from local businesses, and thanks their major sponsor, Sobey's.
