The Portage Regional Library's upcoming events are finalized and include an improv course that's not been done there before. Book sale coordinator and graphic designer Suzy Laevens gives the outline.

"Here at the Library in January on the 18th we have our book club," explains Laevens. "They'll be reading the book Go Set A Watchman, by Harper Lee. On the 20th of January, it's Outside the Box improv classes with Chris Kitchen. That's starting for students ages 12 to 18 in a ten-week set of classes on Fridays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.."

She says the improv course is a brand new thing with Kitchen at the library who's renowned in the Portage area for theatrical and improv work.

Laevens says the week of the 25th puts a focus on Family Literacy for ages zero to six, with several exciting activities taking place.

She adds Terrie Todd is launching her new book Maggie's War on Tuesday, January 31st, about war heroes who sometimes don't even go to war.
