The live streamed final Tragically Hip concert was very well received at the Glesby Centre last night.

Glesby Centre Executive Director Carolyn Gray says the event was a spectacular success, adding another event like this would be hosted in a

"It was so much fun, people were so happy. I had people hugging me, thanking me for putting this on. It was just a great way to bring such a variety of people together. There were tiny little kids and there were seniors and everybody was jamming to the music. It was fabulous."

Gray notes even though the Glesby Centre wasn't totally full, it was as full as one could want with the room seeming packed with people.

Fans of the Hip were cheering, singing and dancing along to the music all evening. Long-time fan Sandy Andrew praises the event.

"It was awesome, it was wonderful. I saw [The Tragically Hip] in Brandon about three or four years ago and it was excellent, and just as good right now."

Lori BlightLori Blight, another Hip fan, says the show was fabulous.

"It was great that the Glesby Centre was able to host such a fabulous event. It's a one of a kind show. It's sad that this is going to be the last Tragically Hip concert and we're really thrilled to be able to be here tonight."

An event as Hip and successful as this will likely remain in everyone's minds for a long time.
