Portage la Prairie's Fort la Reine Museum is all set for tomorrow's Aboriginal Days celebration.

The museum and Portage Friendship Centre have partnered to host the event that kicks off at 11 tomorrow morning. Friendship Centre Executive Director Shirley Bernard's says they're set and ready to go.

"Yes we're getting excited getting everything prepared. Everyone knows we're partnering with the Fort la Reine Museum and we're excited to get things done, and when you have partnerships like that it's always bigger and better. There's many things going on between both the Friendship Centre and the Museum. Such things as games for children, first nation drumming and dancing, and the Metis entertainment with their dancing."

Museum Curator Tracy Turner invites everyone to come out for the celebration.

"We're hoping to really represent the culture and the heritage of the aboriginal people. Have all kinds of demonstrations and events and experiences for people to come on National Aboriginal Day. Of course the museum is free that day. So we're open to the public for schools and the general public to come and share and learn."

The celebration gets going at 11 a.m. tomorrow
