After the community of Sidney, Man., has been without a gospel church for about 30 years, the grand opening of Sidney Breath of Life Church's new sanctuary is taking place today. Sidney Christian Assembly pastor Peter Lemky contacted pastor Mike Blume and joined efforts to fulfill a dream that began a decade ago.

Peter and Bonnie Lemky"A group from the Sidney community got together roughly ten years ago," says Peter Lemky, "with the desire to establish a church in Sidney; a place where anybody from any denomination, race, colour, or creed could come and honour Jesus Christ."

Sidney Christian Assembly started the project and realized they needed help to complete it. The church joined forces with Sidney Breath of Life Church, and together they brought the project to completion.  Mike Blume is pastor of the assembly. Municipality of North-Norfolk mayor Neil Christoffersen and community representative Pearl Wieler will be present to help cut the ribbon today.
