Reduced visibility, poor driving, highway closures, and plenty of cancellations sum up today in southern Manitoba.

We're dealing with the first blizzard of the season, and it's made travel difficult, at best.

The RCMP have closed the Trans Canada Highway between Winnipeg and Brandon. Highways 2, 3, and 13 are also closed.

Environment Canada's expecting 15 to 25 cm of snow today, with tonight seeing 5 to 10 more, and 2 to 4 tomorrow.

Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation says roads across the southern part of the province are snow-covered, with reduced visibility.

The inclement weather means many cancellations, and we have them for you here.

Portage la Prairie's Herman Prior Centre is preparing for an influx of people stranded by the storm. They've shut down the centre, and are waiting to hear from the fire department when. or if, they'll be needed.
