Thursday was Burgers to Beat MS day at A&W. Two dollars from every Teen Burger sold went toward Multiple Sclerosis research and support programs.

A&W Portage Owner and Manager Josh Black says it was an absolutely amazing day.

"We ended up selling just over 800 Teen Burgers and Double Teens," says Black. "So, the $2 from every Teen Burger will take us to just over $1,600, plus some of the other donations will be just over $2,000 for the day. It was great, the community's support. It was one of the busiest days of all time here. The radio station itself, I have to give kudos, they had a great contest out supporting us. It was just a great event and a great day."

A&W puts on a Burgers to Beat MS day every year and Black says a total of nearly $2-million was raised last year. He says while they had great support last year, this year's Burgers to Beat MS day in Portage was slightly busier.

Black adds he's glad they were able to have a lot of fun with the day, all while raising funds to beat MS.
