Update:

Fire department officials say there were no injuries sustained in an early morning residential fire in the RM of Portage. The blaze is believed to have started in the home's garage. Damage estimates are not yet available.

Portage la Prairie firefighters are on the scene of a house and garage fire in the RM of Portage.

The call came in around 5 o'clock this morning, and two trucks were dispatched to the scene on Road 63 North, just off Highway 331, near Fortier.

Firefighters are being aided by a truck from Bonhomme Colony.

So far, there are no reports of any injuries.
