The Dakota Ojibway Police Service needs your help to locate a man charged in connection with an motor vehicle incident at Long Plain First Nation last Friday, where a pedestrian was hit by an off-road vehicle.

Inspector Marc Saindon says Jeffrey Scott faces several charges, adding DOPS is searching for him.

"And if anybody has information in regards to his whereabouts, we would certainly appreciate a phone call, at 252-4480. Or calling Crimestoppers -- the callers do not have to reveal their name."

Saindon stresses if you see Scott, you shouldn't approach him, noting DOPS is using several methods to locate him.

"We're talking advantage of all social media outlets as we can. It has been posted on Facebook as well as Twitter. It's also been forwarded to our partnering agencies, as well as various media outlets."

Scott is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, failure to stop and remain at the scene of an accident, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and assault causing bodily harm.
