The 14th Annual MNP Chili Challenge is ready to rouse your taste buds. Coordinator Diane Robertson says all funds raised this year will go to the Canadian Mental Health Association Central Region and notes this event is always a very popular and fun way to assist local charities. Robertson says MNP couldn't do it alone, so they're grateful to other companies and organizations who step up every autumn to help out. She notes some of the same groups have been participating for years but they also have three new entrants this time around. Robertson says folks can come out and taste all the different chilis, adding there'll also be prizes and a silent auction. She notes the winner will be entitled to some bragging rights as well.

The Chili Challenge runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday at the Herman Prior Centre. This year's participants include the Portage District General Hospital Foundation, Portage ARC Industries, CMHA Central Region, Portage Consumers Coop, TD Bank, Scotiabank, the Austin Credit Union and the Portage Credit Union, Portage Firefighters, and MNP.
