Statistics Canada released data from the 2016 census today. Here's a glance at some population statistics from around the region.

Stonewall grew by 273, and is at 4809.

In North Norfolk, the population's risen to 3853, from 3762.

Westlake-Gladstone's increased to 3154, from 3068.

The RM of Cartier saw a 215 person increase, and are at 3368.

Long Plain First Nation grew to 1232, from 1078.

Dakota Tipi and Dakota Plains First Nations dropped. Dakota Tipi's at 156, from 164. Dakota Plains is at 76, from 111.

The RM of Woodlands dropped to 3416, from 3521, as did West Interlake. They're at 2162, from 2206.

For the town of Arborg, there was a jump of 80, bringing the population to1232.

The RM of St. Laurent recorded modest growth, from 1305 to 1338.

In the RM of Rockwood, 7823 people were counted, down from 7964.
