Three local organizations have received a boost from the local MCC Thrift Shop and Furniture Store. One of those organizations was Central Plains Cancer Care, which received $1,000 for their work. It was one of the final donations accepted by Cancer Care Executive Director Judy Sauder, who spent her final day in the office earlier this week. She notes it was great to see the support from MCC, as well as others who helped make the day a success.

"It feels absolutely fantastic to have the support of MCC, and from all of the community who supports MCC, by shopping there or making donations to the store."

Sauder notes they also had some volunteers assist for the day, with long-time supporters Vic and Iona Pople providing some volunteer support at the shop. She says all the funds raised through the day will stay in the local area, being used for patient transportation and their ongoing education programs.
