The Municipality of Norfolk-Treherne has a number of projects underway that look to bear some fruit in the new year. Reeve Will Eert says a big one will finishing up a task that the previous council got underway.

"Putting in a sewer system for Rathwell," says Eert. " The previous council left that well underway. Another project is the South Central Natural Gas Project which is a six-municipality consortium that is looking at building a new natural gas pipeline for their municipalities. That one is on-going."

Eert details another project that looks to change the way water stewardship will happen in the region.

"That one is called the Boyne Valley Water Initiative," says Eert. "That's potentially looking at putting a dam on a branch of the Boyne Valley which would give us all the benefits that would come from that."

It's safe to say the municipality will remain busy throughout 2019.
