Portage-Lisgar MP Candice Bergen is holding a passport clinic tomorrow in Portage la Prairie at the Herman Prior Centre. The clinic will help you with the passport process which includes getting a picture taken and filling out paperwork. Bergen explains the clinic and why she thought it was important to have this clinic in portage.

Portage-Lisgar MP Candice Bergen"The clinic is basically going to be a one-stop shop for people who want to either renew their passport or get a new one for the first time. We decided to host it here in Portage, and it's going to be kind of a test run, and we're looking forward to having people come in to the clinic. We really want to be a service to the people in Portage la Prairie and we want to help them with the things that they need help with, and passports seem to be one of those things."

Bergen explains what you'll need if you'd like to get your passport started at the clinic.

"Some things that you will need to bring are some form of identification, a birth certificate, and you'll have to have a guarantor. You can come in and we'll help you fill out the forms, we'll have a photographer there, and we'll get the package ready and we'll look over it to make sure nothing is missing, and then we'll get it sent away. We're basically a second set of eyes to take a look at the application and help fill everything out."

The passport clinic will run tomorrow from 11am to 2pm at the Herman Prior Centre.
