About 25 students in the Ag Tech course at Portage Collegiate had a chance to see ag tech up close.

They were given a two hour tour of Enns Brothers in Portage la Prairie last week.

One of the students was Austin Roy, who says he learned a lot, just by walking around, and he's grateful for the opportunity.

"It means quite a bit to me. I know time is money for them, so when they take us for tour, they're actually kind of losing money. But I'd just like to say thank you to Enns Brothers for that."

Parker Page was also on the tour, adding working on heavy duty machinery is what he's interested in pursuing after graduating.

Parker Page"Lots of things going on, everyone's got to do their job, and get it done fast, with a big company like that. We do it here, too, for customers, but there's that next level -- get the job done, and do it properly. Everyone's skilled there, and it's inspiring, almost. It's the thing I get the most from it -- just inspiration"

Career Development Coordinator Blair Hordeski calls Enns Brothers a great partner with the school, noting they're hiring high school apprentices.
