The Accelerated Christian Education Prairie Regional Student Convention wrapped up Friday in Southport where Lighthouse Christian School hosted the event.

Joe WurtzA.C.E. student conventions director Joe Wurtz gives an outline.

"What happened this week was we had students ages seven to nineteen compete in so many different categories. For the senior students, 13 and 19, they're in preparation for the International Student Convention that's taking place in Warrensburg, Missouri, May 21-26th, where they'll be able to compete in what they qualified for here."

Kenton Waldner's a student at L.C.S. and outlines his awards.

"First place in soccer, dodgeball, and my second place I got soccer kick, ensemble, and one act play. And for third place I got ball free-throw."

L.C.S. Student Nicole Hofer:

"I won first in checkers, table tennis, 400 metre relay, first in animal photography -- I took a picture of my dog -- and I won two seconds and a third."

Matthew Towle:

"I won monochromatic scenic photography, and a Bible bowl. I got third in physical fitness."

Cold Lake, Alberta, student Zachary Amesmann shares his awards.

"I got five firsts and three seconds. I got first in wood sculpture, science exhibit, engineering, sketching, pastels, and then second in shot-put, second in discus, and second in water colour."
