An information and statistics database relating to business and services in the Town of Arborg will soon be accessible on its website.

At its meeting last week, Arborg council passed a three-year agreement with Saskatchewan-based data company Townfolio. Mayor Randy Sigurdson says it's program whereby Townfolio will provide up-to-date information and statistics about all things community -- such as schools, hospitals, the number of doctors or business particulars.

"We think it will be very good for people that are taking a look at coming to the town and wanting to know more about it," Sigurdson says. "Local citizens can use it as well. But we're always aware there are people from all over the world that are looking to re-locate and find business opportunities."

"We just want to make sure our information is out there to have a look at."

Sigurdson adds the service will cost Arborg about $700 per year.
