The Fourth Annual Rotary Peace Ride takes place on Sunday, June 4th.

Jim BrandsRotarian Jim Brands notes even if you don't have a motorcycle you can still participate.

"It is a motorcycle ride but we do have a couple of classic cars that come along as well. One of the fellows had a couple of knee operations and he can't ride anymore so he brings his car. I just spoke to him [recently] and he's coming along again. So everybody's welcome, it's a great ride, a great fundraiser. And this year, also, we're teaming up with Big Brothers Big Sisters."

The ride leaves from the Golden West Radio station in Portage at 10 o'clock, Brands outlines the route.

"We're going to go down to Stonewall, we're going to come back down to Fannystelle on Highway 2. I think we're going to stop in Saint Claude because I heard that sometimes there you can get a refreshment. Then come back into town and then we're going to end up at Tornadoes."

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the ride costs $45 per rider and $25 per passenger. Brands encourages everyone to come out and have a fun day.
