Team Red scored six goals in the opening period of the Zone 4 High School Hockey League's 2016 All-Star game in Winkler, en route to a 9-4 win over Team White. 

Finley Wheeler got the scoring started for team White with Robi Lewarne, and Jordan Blatz picking up the helpers.

After Team White's goal Team Red went on to score six unanswered goals. Carels would record his first three of five on the night, and fellow Mustang Dylan Dacquay potted a pair of goals, while Noah Friesen picked up a single in the first twenty minutes.

There was only two goals scored in the middle frame, with both teams finding the back of the net once. Carels for Team Red, and Tyler Peters for Team White. 

Carels and Friesen would both tally in the third period for Team Red, and Haidyn Burke and Keane Boucher replied for Team White.

Keegan Blehm and Adam Lamblez teamed up between the pipes for Team White and turned aside 28 of the 37 shots they faced. Meanwhile, the goaltending duo of Justin Jamault and Griffin Dyck made 24 saves for Team Red.
