The Portage Youth Soccer Association's season starts up today in Portage la Prairie.

"We're all set," says Chad Green, PYSA Technical Director. "The schedules are set and the teams are all set, so we're good to go. We've got our new website, I think it looks good but that's probably because I work on it. We've got our travel teams that go under the Portage Cobras, but that is still under PYSA, so we've got four youth teams which are set. We've got some tournaments booked already, I'm really excited."

Green says the month of April is usually a busy one for the organization.

"We're scrambling to find coaches we don't have, making sure the teams are made, making sure the schedule is done. We have our time to book with the PRRA, who deal with other leagues as well, but they sort of give us first preference so we're always on a crunch. Everything really fell into place, there's always a couple hiccups but there wasn't anything too significant."
