The South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League Champion will be decided tonight.

Game 7 between the Portage Islanders and Notre Dame Hawks is in Notre Dame after the Islanders won Sunday night to tie the best-of-seven series 3-3.

It's a battle of the two top teams from the regular season as the Hawks finished first overall and the Islanders claimed second.

"This is why you want home advantage," says Hawks' captain Steve Clark. "We've played really well in our home barn, especially this series, so hopefully we can take it to them tonight."

The Islanders got out to a quick 2-0 series lead at the start after winning Games 1 and 2. Notre Dame stormed back with three victories of their own to take a 3-2 series lead to put all the pressure back on the Islanders in Game 6.

"They have a really strong team there in Notre Dame," says Islander Dan Leslie. "They battle hard, so we have to match their intensity. It's going to be a heck of a game for Game 7. We had a couple of guys out for Game 6 and we're expecting to get them back here tonight so it should be a good one."

The puck drops for Game 7 at 8 p.m. in Notre Dame.
