The blizzard yesterday forced cancellations or postponements for many local sports, but a few games went ahead.

One of the was the Tiger Hills Hockey League match-up between MacGregor Wild and Minnedosa Bombers at the Nor-Mac Centre.

It was a see-saw battle from the outset, with MacGregor taking a 2-goal lead by the 8 minute mark, on goals by Trent and Matt Boschman.

Minnedosa fought back with three goals before the period was over, and took a 3-2 lead into the intermission.

In the second, it was back and forth again, with the Bombers getting three, and the Wild two, as Minnedosa took another lead into the intermission, at 6-4.

MacGregor did all the scoring in the third period, with Matt Boschman getting the winner, with his second of the night, making it 7-6.

Mark Klippenstein was the winning goalie, with 24 saves.
