The Westpark Royals junior varsity boy's won 78-67 over the Rosseau Valley Raiders tonight in Zone 4 High School basketball at Westpark School.

The Royals led 40-27 at the half, and increased that to 65-40 going into the 4th. The final frame saw Rosseau Valley score 27 to Westpark's 13, but the Royals' lead was enough to seal the win.

Royals' Grade 10 player Carter Friesen has 18 points on the night, and says it was a satisfying victory.

"We finally got our shots to drop. We've had a struggle with that for the last couple of games, and today they were going in, which is good for our confidence."

The Royals are back at it tomorrow night when they visit Northlands Parkway. Friesen outlines what they'll need to do to win on the road.

"We just want to swing the ball around and have a good team. Try and get fast break scores, and score as many as we can."

That game is set for 7:30 p.m. at Northlands Parkway.
