The PCI Trojans fell 2-1 to the Carman Cougars last night in the quarter-final playoffs in Zone 4 High School Hockey League action.

The Cougars held a two-point lead through most of the game but the Trojans narrowed the gap with a late goal in the final minutes of the third period. However, it wasn't quite enough to tie up the score.

Trojans' coach Chris Delong notes it was a tight game.

"That was a very offensive team we played and we held them to two goals. Lots of heart, lots of effort, just came up a little short at the end."

He adds there were some suspect calls in the game and they lost two of their top defensemen midway through the game which put a lot of pressure on their back-end. Nonetheless, Delong says he and the other members of the coaching staff are happy with how the boys responded and are proud of them in their season.

With Carman winning the best of three series 2-0, the Trojans are now finished for the season.
