The PCI Trojans' bats came alive yesterday in exhibition games at Rotary Republic Park in Portage. The Trojans shutout Stonewall 10-0 in the first game of the day and followed up with a 14-2 win over Carberry. Trojans' head coach Jay Dewis says the team played well.

"I thought we pitched pretty well today; our guys threw lots of strikes and cut down on the walks. For us, it was just big to get some games in after the regular season ended on May 9th, so getting these extra innings was key for us."

Dewis notes the team is playing well heading into zones.

"We're excited. We feel like we're playing well and having a good season and it would be nice to cap it off by winning the Zone Championship."

Portage will head to Altona on Thursday for the Zone Championships.
