The PCI Trojans won 5-3 over WC Miller last night in Zone 4 Hockey at the PCU Centre.

Both teams looked even in the first period, with the score tied at 2 heading into the second. Trojans' Matt Boychuck and Steven Vey each scored in the opening frame. The 2 goal tie was broken in the second period thanks to Trojans' Cole Butler. The Aces came back in the third period to tie things at 3, but that was their last time lighting the lamp. Trojans' defenseman Tanner Boyle scored the game-winner unassisted with 3 minutes-to-go in the game, Curran Ice added an empty netter with 9 seconds on the clock.

Trojans' Head Coach Chris DeLong says they showed great poise in the third to get the win.

"Altona brought us everything that we could handle, and at times almost too much. It was a character win in that we could've not responded well in the third, but we did. We batten down the hatches and everyone pulled together."

The Trojans have to rest up quickly, as they face Morden tonight. DeLong sets up the match.

"We played them in the pre-season and lost in an overtime game, so we know we can skate with them. We didn't have our full team at that time too, so we're just expecting to keep rolling the lines and getting some good production."

The Trojans and Thunder face off at 8 p.m. in Morden.
