The PCI Trojans stole game two of their double header against Morden tonight to sweep the Thunder in Zone 4 Baseball. The Trojans' took game one 5-2, then managed to come back from a 4 run deficit to win game two 10-8.

PCI got off to a good start in game 1 with three runs in the top of the inning. Trojans' first baseman Reilly Funk says they played a solid game to get the win.

"We really tightened up our defense in that game, and we really just wanted to make the simple plays, and we didn't make any errors out there."

Game two was a nail-biter though, with PCI falling behind 8-4 after the second inning. Persistence, and perseverance paid off for the Trojans though in the form of 2 Lane Taylor triples, earning 4 runs in the process. Taylor talks about his night at the plate.

"I was good today. I was slumping a little to start the year, and it was good to get out of it. I started seeing the ball better, and just putting good swings on it. I was glad I could help my team out at the end and get the big hit."

Brody Moffat earned the win in game one for PCI, he threw 5 innings. Game two saw three PCI pitchers take the mound, Tyler Van Deynze (DYNZE) and Jayson Brooks each pitched two innings, while Chance Dickenson was brought in to close out the game. Here's Dickenson on the pressure he was feeling in the final inning.

"I was kind of very nervous up there, so I didn't really want to blow the lead there. I threw some strikes, attacked the zone, and got the win for the team."

Trojans' Head Coach Jay Dewis says it was an incredible showing of heart from his club. They're back at it Monday.
