(Update 1:20 p.m.) The game tonight has been cancelled due to poor field conditions. The game will be made up Tuesday April 26th.

The 2016 Zone 4 High School Baseball League season begins today for the PCI Trojans. The Trojans are heading to Altona for a double header against the WC Miller Aces. Senior Jared Roy is the only grade 12 player on the team, and expects a good year from the team. 

"We have quite a bit of experience from last year because there's a lot of veteran players coming back so we should have a pretty good run" He comments on the new players on the team. "They're all really good, so we should be really good this year."

Second baseman Tanner Boyle, one of the grade 9 players to crack the final roster, thinks the team has a shot at provincials this year.

"We've got a good group of guys here and we should make a run for provincials. We've got a lot of good grade 9 players here that can help the team out."

The first game of today's double header starts at 4:15.
