Stop by and show your support for the Portage Terriers at their pep rally tonight at the PCU Centre.

The Terriers won the MJHL Championship last week, and are spending this week practicing in preparation for the Western Canada Cup in Estevan. Terriers' Vice President Stan Killam says it's going to be the last chance to see the players before the tournament.

"There's an open practice tonight for them at 6:15 p.m. So you can come and watch them practice if you like, and at 7:15 to 7:30 -- obviously when the boys are finished and they get out of their rooms -- we're going to have a pep rally."

Killam outlines the event.

"We'll have our merchandise on sale, we'll have all the players there signing autographs for us. There'll be tables set up, so bring whatever you want to be signed -- hockey stick, jerseys, whatever you have -- and again we have the store there. Then we have a little rally for them, a little thank you, a big applause, and a good photo opportunity for anyone as well."

He adds the team continues to impress the fans, and the league.

"These guys just keep stepping up year after year. You look at Blake's (Spiller) success over the past 10 years, with 6 provincial championships, he's done an amazing job and I wish the fans would come out to see that."

Tonight's pep rally starts at 7:15, after the Terriers' open practice. Get more info on the pep rally here http://www.portageterriers.com/news_article/show/640861?referrer_id=
