The MJHL regular season has come to a close and the Portage Terriers have handed out their annual awards. The ceremony was held Sunday night at CanadInns in front of friends and family. Terrier captain Sam Huston was honoured with the team MVP award.

"It's nice. I wasn't really expecting it. There are a lot of guys that are deserving of that award."

Lane Taylor was one of the big winners on the night, taking home Most Improved Player, Best Defensive Defenceman, Portage Minor Hockey Scholarship, and the Award of Commitment & Dedication.

The Terriers have one award left to hand out, the Joe Sponarski Playoff MVP award, which will be given after the Centennial Cup in May. Portage will start the playoffs on Friday March 6th at Stride Place at 7:30 pm.
