Portage Terriers forward James McIsaac has been named the Manitoba Junior Hockey League Recycle Everywhere Player of the Week, the league announced today.

McIsaac, 17, recorded six points (four goals, two assists) in a recent game against the Virden Oil Capitals. In three games over the past week, the Winnipeg native had eight points (6-2—8).

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound forward, acquired by the Terriers in a trade with the Winnipeg Blues earlier this season, is putting together a strong campaign. A representative at the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Prospect's Game, McIsaac is scoring at over a point-per-game pace, with 64 points (33-31—64) in 56 games. That ranks seventh among the league leaders and tops among 17-year-old skaters.
