For the first time this hockey season, the Portage Terriers are ranked number 1 in the country. They moved into first place on the CJHL top 20 weekly rankings, jumping one spot over the Penticton Vees. You can see the full list here.

The Portage Terriers visit the Waywayseecapo Wolverines tonight, in their final game of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League Regular Season.

The Terriers are currently riding a 19 game win streak, and haven't lost in regulation since December 15th. Terriers' rookie forward Nick Henry says it's an important game heading into playoffs.

"It's huge. We've got to come in with a huge effort because we're going into playoffs. It'd be nice to go into playoffs with a win and a lot of confidence on a 20 game win streak, which doesn't happen often, but I think if we stick with it good things will happen."

Henry says if they stick to their game, they'll be successful.

"I think we're going to just have to stick to the game-plan. We're not going to have to do anything special. We're just going to have to play really hard, and play how we have been all year. I think that's what we've been doing that's going to keep us successful."

The Terriers and Wolverines go at 7:30. Catch the pre game show with Cody Buhler and Aaron Wilgosh on CFRY or Portage Online at 7:20.
