The Portage Terriers are in exhibition action tonight.

They're in Virden for a rematch with the Oil Capitals, after last week's rookie game in Portage la Prairie which the dogs won 5-2. Terrier's 17-year-old hopeful Lane Taylor will be suiting up on the blue line for his second time this exhibition season. He outlines a few things he's hoping to improve on tonight.

"Just keeping a good gap and making the easy play and what not. Just kind of keep getting better and progressing along with the speed of the game. Getting pucks through, all the simple things."

18-year-old Wesley Ellingsen will be splitting the goaltending duties with teammate Brock Aiken. Ellingsen says it's about being consistent between the pipes.

"Putting the pucks to the corner and keeping the game simple, not over-playing any shots or anything like that. Just try to play my game, and hope for the best."

19-year-old Brandon Stanley's returning for his second season as a Terrier. He's excited at some of the talents vying for a spot on the club.

"They're pretty fast, and we've got some big guys in the line-up too. We're looking like we're going to do okay."

The Terriers and Oil Capitals go at 7:30 in Virden.
