The Portage Terriers (7-1) have a date with royalty tonight in MJHL action at the PCU Centre.

The dogs host the second last place Dauphin Kings (2-6), after winning 5 games in-a-row to start October. Terriers' forward Chase Brakel discusses their success this season.

"We expect to be competitive every year. We just find a way to win, kind of like last year when there wasn't a whole lot expected of us at the start of the year. I think we'll get the win (tonight) too."

Terriers' Captain Adam Wowryk has 8 points (3G-5A) so far this year. He says they're not too familiar with the Kings this year so they need to be ready from the start.

"I've heard they're a pretty young team, they've got a young goalie too. So we just need to get some pucks on net, and hopefully get a few by him quick."

The Terriers and Kings face off at 7:30 p.m. at the PCU Centre.
